Description: With our Agency’s mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.This position is part of Tri-County Community Mental Health Center’s Intensive Community Treatment (ICT) team and requires specialist to render services in the home to patients in the county. Services may be provided in the evenings at times that are convenient for the patient. A state car will be provided for travel to patients’ homes.Responsibilities for this Counselor I include but are not limited to:Provides quality in-home treatment services for patients who are receiving intensive community treatment (ICT). Renders rehabilitative behavioral health services as prescribed by the plan of care. Staffs’ cases of all patients in ICT with supervisor.Contacts supervisor immediately regarding safety issues. Makes referrals to Clinical Care Coordination as needed based on patient’s presenting needs outside of TCCMHC. Meets agency productivity standards. Attends and actively participates in treatment team meeting either by phone or in-person as required to review patients’ cases.Participates in Center-required trainings. Ensures all assigned caseloads and clinical records are in accordance with SCDMH Quality Assurance (QA) standards.Adheres to Corporate Compliance policies and procedures. Adheres to all Federal, State, and local laws/regulations, TCCMHC/SCDMH policies and procedures, CARF standards, and operational regulations.Acts in a culturally competent manner. Shall comply with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements in performing their job duties. Utilizes collaborative documentation to facilitate effective and efficient provision of therapeutic services.Completes and submits weekly case reviews to supervisor. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and relevant human services or social services experience. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required experience.Agency Minimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field. Must have a valid driver’s license.Note: Applicants must also meet Agency minimum requirements to be considered for this position. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.The selected candidate must have knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the area of employment. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Salary: $32686 – 60471 per year
