Description: Job Description:Director, Partnerships & Coalitions-Government Affairs & Strategy OfficeThe Partnerships & Coalitions Director supports Siemens USA via the Strategic Initiatives and Government Affairs functions to help coordinate the strategic direction of core business, regional and industry trade association development along with key stakeholder and community engagement.The Director will help to advance the Siemens U.S. government affairs policy agenda and nurture senior level business, industry and government relationships. The ideal candidate will develop and engage various stakeholders through targeted relationship management programs including events, communications and other convening.Lead and coordinate coalition meetings and communication; community engagement; strategic plan development, implementation and evaluation. The Director will excel at convening stakeholders, conducting focus groups, and fostering collaboration among diverse groups to align interests and drive strategic initiatives.An ideal candidate will have proven project management, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills; and experience engaging c-suite and governmental staff.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support cross-functional team for association coalition development and engagement.
  • Manage communications with coalition members, including newsletters, calls, meetings, and events.
  • Collaborate with Siemens Government Affairs policy leads on issue-specific coalition initiatives and stay engaged and up to date on Siemens business policy priorities and advocacy efforts.
  • Demonstrate strategic thought leadership by proactively identifying and pursing opportunities that align with the U.S. agenda, driving innovative initiatives that advance organizational goals.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion by embracing diverse viewpoints, reinforcing alignment with US strategic values and objectives.
  • Develop medium and long-term strategic plan for coalition building and community engagement in support of Siemens U.S. business goals.
  • Identify, maintain and cultivate an active network of C-suite level relationships to open doors with executives in the public and private sector to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a thought leader within the industry, contributing to Siemens’ positioning in the market, and design and execute group programming, including recruiting high-level speakers.
  • Develop materials for external audiences such as one-pagers and talking points.
  • Collaborate with the US Government Affairs, Strategy, Communications, Legal and Compliance teams to enable and deliver outcomes aligned with business objectives and priorities.
  • Assist with industry benchmarking and analysis.
  • Monitors all information flow, including maintaining paper and electronic files.
  • Prepares presentations, reports, statistical charts, and briefings.
  • Carries out special projects and assignments as requested.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, business or related field
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in political engagement, advocacy, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in driving successful advocacy campaigns.
  • Proven relationship management experience and the ability to communicate effectively on policy priorities and legislative efforts.
  • Demonstrates professional judgment and editorial skills.
  • 10 years of experience in the translation of complex information into engaging and succinct content targeted toward specific audiences.
  • Have useful programming and analytical skills for accurate database management.
  • 10 years of experience of demonstrated project management experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without need of sponsorship now or in the future.

  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Capacity to set priorities and meet deadlines, and ability to multi-task.
  • Must be driven by ownership culture and possess an entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude.
  • Basic understanding of Siemens’ core businesses is a plus.
  • Strong communications skillset and confidence when engaging with C-suite and various stakeholder groups.

  • The pay range for this position is $200,000 to $220,000 and the annual incentive target is 20% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
