The Columbia, Montour, Snyder, and Union County Mental Health and Intellectual Disability Unit is seeking a motivated, dependable professional to complete our team. As a Support Coordination Supervisor you will be tasked with supervising staff involved with helping improve the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities as well as maximize their potential for independent living. CMSU staff also qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF)!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Support Coordination Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising support coordination services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. Support coordination is a series of service functions involving the location, coordination, and monitoring of services to assist persons with intellectual disabilities achieve greater independence, choice, and opportunity in their lives. You will have the opportunity to train staff to ensure work is completed in accordance with establish policies, procedures, and regulations. In this role, you will monitor caseloads, participate in the hiring process of new employees, participate in meetings, and address performance issues. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Serve as liaison with contracted psychiatrists, various community agencies, and providers
  • Address complaints from consumers and their families
  • Complete required paperwork within appropriate timeframes
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects to enhance the quality of services
  • Assist with implementation of the quality management plan

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor’s degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
