Airport BlvdSanford, FL 32773Remote work will not be a consideration.Your Specific Responsibilities:The Florida Department of Health in Seminole County is looking for self-motivated, hardworking individuals to fill Career Service Government Operations Consultant II positions located in Sanford, FL.Condition of Employment:This position may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disasters or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. This position will maintain confidentiality and security of records as specified by departmental regulations and laws.This position requires a Valid Florida Driver License.The incumbent in this position reports to the Operation and Management Supervisor and is responsible to administer the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (BCCEDP) to women meeting the guidelines established by the FDOH program office. Reviews administrative policies, procedures, guidelines and related directives to be implemented; evaluates impact on operations; identifies potential problems; recommends appropriate action. Identifies statewide operational problems in the implementation of administrative services policies and procedures or program policies and procedures. Investigates, assesses, analyzes and makes recommendations to resolve issues and problems presented by administrators. Provides direction, guidance and counsel to administrators and their staffs in the management and operation of service programs and responsibilities. Performs firsthand, on-site analysis of operational problems of service programs; serves on interdisciplinary staff teams to develop optimum resolutions; carries out the implementation of solutions. Consults with staff members to develop solutions for programmatic operational problems.These duties include customer service; implementation, monitor and review of grant expenditures; preparing and submitting financial reports and patient reporting forms to BCCEDP program office; statistical reports; outreach events promoting BCCEDP and providing client education; community resource for BCCEDP information. Client case management of abnormal results. Implements BCCEDP program guidelines for screening applicants and ensuring program compliance for delivery of services within CDC recommended time frames. Administers the program to reach and serve the target population demonstrating the highest statistical incidence of breast and cervical cancer disease.Develops partnerships and agreements with local medical providers to secure client services and procedures such as screenings, radiology, and surgery. Fosters community partnerships with community service providers to help meet program and community needs of clients. Work alongside with other DOH dept/staff to promote and collaborate services. Performs related work and assist other programs as required or needed.Incumbent may be required to work beyond normal work hours in response to disasters and Public Health Emergencies including being assigned to Special Needs shelters. or other duties and or activities required for the division or department.Minimum Qualifications:

  • Verifiable experience working with public health, community health, program outreach, and or marketing
  • Verifiable experience working with budget management and control, preparing and submitting financial and statistical reports and outreach education
  • Verifiable experience determining eligibility in a medical or social service setting
  • Work experience developing community partnerships
  • Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. This may include working in a special needs or Red Cross shelter, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. Emergency duties may also include in-state and/or out-of-state deployment.
