Description: Job DescriptionJob Summary:Walgreens is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Government Relations Intern to join our dynamic Government Relations department. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the intersection of healthcare, business, and public policy. The intern will assist in research, analysis, and communication efforts related to legislative and regulatory issues affecting Walgreens and the broader retail pharmacy industry. Ideal candidates will have a passion for government and policy, an eagerness to learn, and a commitment to making a positive impact. Must be local to the Washington DC area.Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs various activities that contribute to the strategy development process for the assigned business unit.
  • Utilizes various tools and resources to analyze information and make recommendations to support the business.
  • Provides general day to day support across the various divisions within Walgreens.
  • Suggests recommendations to leadership for improving and updating policies and processes.
  • May deliver a project aligning to strategic priorities and present to manager/leadership upon completion.

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with 2 semesters remaining upon start date
  • Local to the Washington DC Area.
  • Strong communication skills with experience in written reports and presenting the information in a formal or classroom setting.
  • Experience collaborating with teams
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
