Description: Position: 3rd Grade ELA Teacher (Urgent Opening for 2024-2025 School Year)
Location: Willingboro, NJ
Compensation: Up to $50/hourFocused Staffing Group, in partnership with a charter public school in Westampton, NJ, is seeking a passionate and qualified 3rd Grade ELA Teacher to inspire and empower students during the 2024-2025 school year.About the RoleThe ideal candidate will implement an engaging, standards-aligned educational program while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. They will help students develop foundational skills, knowledge, and attitudes essential for their continued academic success and personal growth.Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards and the school’s mission, vision, and goals.
• Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities tailored to meet diverse student needs.
• Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through creative and technology-integrated assessments.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress using unit assessments, record-keeping, and parent communication tools.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify instruction for students with individualized needs.
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, upholding behavior standards, and promoting mutual respect.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student progress and school programs through various channels, including conferences, email, and portals.
• Participate in school-level planning, faculty meetings, and committees to support curriculum development and school initiatives.
• Engage in professional growth through ongoing training, in-service programs, and self-directed learning.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate with the appropriate subject area endorsement or eligibility (per N.J.A.C. 6A:9-9 ).
• Demonstrated knowledge of ELA curriculum, effective teaching strategies, and classroom management techniques.
• Proficiency in educational technology to enhance instruction and assessment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency.

• Students, and when applicable, student teachers and paraprofessionals.
