Description: Duties Description Under the direction and supervision of the Application Developer II, the Application Developer will work in a team environment developing and supporting applications. As a member of a small team of professionals, the incumbent will have the opportunity to be exposed to and take on other assignments in addition to the primary developer role.Essential Duties

  • Develop, maintain, and extend PowerBuilder (Appeon) Client-Server applications
  • Develop, maintain, and extend .Net-based web applications
  • Perform business analysis with staff for requirements gathering
  • Contribute to other programming projects and teams
  • Application/Framework design
  • Evaluate and influence technological decisions related to application frameworks and dependencies
  • Act as a lead for a new application architecture and design
  • Actively participate in all phases of the development lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications • Requiredo Bachelor’s Degree in a computer-related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the positiono 5 years of programming experienceo 5 years of programming using PowerBuilder with PowerBuilder Foundation Class (PFC) frameworko 2 years of experience in web development using the Microsoft .Net stacko Proficiency with C# and SQLo Knowledge of OOP and common design patterns.o Knowledge of ORMs such as Entity Framework or Dappero Knowledge of HTML/HTML5 and CSSo Knowledge of XML and JSONo Experience with GitHub or a similar version control system

  • Preferred

o Blazor Server / WASMo Knowledge of ASP.NET, MVCo Knowledge of JQuery and Javascripto Knowledge of web service communication protocols (e.g., SOAP, REST)o Experience using commercial UI components (e.g., Telerik, Synfusion)o Experience developing customized application solutions based on user-defined needs and objectivesAdditional Skills

  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Understand user needs, identify root causes of problems, and implement pragmatic solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and an ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds in a professional manner
  • Comfortable with the entire development lifecycle
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work closely with application users to gather business requirements and translate them into effective programming solutions
