Ideally, the Aviation ICT Project Leader will also help with business development in the Aviation & Transportation market sector.The position requires that the candidate actively participates in the project delivery process for several projects at the same time while ensuring efficiency, accuracy and top-quality work is being delivered to our clients.This is a Work From Home position and we are open to major markets such as Washington DC, New York/Northern NJ and Chicago.Responsibilities

  • Act as the executive-level point of contact for the NV5/TDSi team, the Owner, Architect and other design team members
  • Lead ICT project design teams, bringing a forward-thinking perspective to technology plans and strategic discussions
  • Lead ICT project design teams in the design customized IT solutions, which may include: Entrance Facilities, Telecomm Rooms, pathways and other infrastructure; wired/wireless and copper/fiber Structured Cabling Systems to support voice/data/video applications; Outside Plant; Distributed Antenna Systems, Data Center technologies and other leading-edge IT solutions
  • Lead project design teams in the design of customized Building Security solutions, which may include: video surveillance systems, access control, intrusion detection, emergency telephones and other innovative Security technologies
  • Lead project design teams in the documentation of high-quality infrastructure construction drawings, details, cost analysis and specifications language; this is often accomplished via AutoCad, Revit or PDF mark-ups with BlueBeam and directing our CAD staff to document the project in Revit
  • Collaborate with MEP and architectural team members and guide clients through the technology selection process
  • Review submittals and shop drawings, coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, and consultants
  • Perform site walk-throughs to review adherence to standards and procedures
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies products/services, guidelines, standards and their applicability to potential Aviation & Transportation projects
  • Ensure that all work is completed on-time, in-budget, and consistently within NV5’s high standards of quality
  • Write proposals and negotiate final scope and fee agreements for Aviation & Transportation ICT projects

Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten years of experience with independent ICT technology consulting is required; at least five years working primarily on Aviation & Transportation ICT projects is highly desired
  • Specific design experience with various elements of an airport such as ticketing counters, concourses, baggage handling areas, gates, lounges, staff amenity spaces and so on
  • Minimum of five years of experience with leading ICT project teams
  • Intimate knowledge of services, hardware, infrastructure and systems architecture for Aviation ICT
  • CP-TED experience desired but not required
  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
  • Values that include integrity, accountability and a willingness to have fun
  • Professional and positive attitude in a fast paced and occasionally high-pressure environment
  • BICSI Certification (active RCDD or test-ready; ITS Installer-1, or ITS Installer-2; additional certifications including OSP, WD); ASIS certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field desired; equivalent industry experience will be considered
  • PLUSES: PE or additional industry certifications; experience with network electronic systems design, experience in business development for professional services, experience working directly for airlines

Compensation: $130,000 – !60,000 per yearBase pay offered for this Ney Work based role may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided in accordance with NY Senate Bill S1326. Base pay information is based on market location.
