In this role, you will be instrumental in creating new, scalable services that drive innovation across the organization and are used throughout our enterprise. As part of a team that leads new initiatives and establishes development standards, you’ll contribute to building advanced, cloud-based solutions that elevate our property estimation capabilities and set the benchmark for the organization.Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based frameworks, algorithms, and tools.
  • Mentor team members in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, explaining how and why to use them effectively.
  • Communicate technical details clearly to contribute to refinement processes.
  • Recognize and document areas for code refactoring and optimization, ensuring maintainability and performance.
  • Demonstrate a mindset of continual improvement, fostering this attitude within the team.
  • Deliver high-quality code consistently within estimated timelines.
  • Optimize software performance and address performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Investigate and resolve software defects and address customer issues.
  • Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality, identifying areas where additional tests are needed.
  • Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Utilize CI/CD pipelines to enhance and automate deployment processes.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and agile ceremonies, including architecture discussions, refinements, retrospectives, demos, and standups.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following industry and team best practices.
  • Engage in pair programming and code reviews to foster knowledge sharing and team collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (equivalent technical experience may substitute).
  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET technologies.
  • Strong understanding of TCP, HTTP, RESTful services, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and design principles.
  • Exposure to AWS and cloud-based services.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and principles.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Postgres) and NoSQL systems.
  • Experience with automated testing (unit, integration) and software verification.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to collaboration.
