Description: Overview:We are seeking an experienced Principal Architect to join our Life IT leadership team and drive strategic technology solutions. This role requires a seasoned professional who can seamlessly collaborate across diverse technical teams while understanding the non-technical aspects of the business to ensure practical and impactful implementations.The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility in Agile delivery, balancing short-term priorities with a focus on achieving target end-state solutions. They will bring a solution-oriented mindset: starting with a recommendation, identifying gaps, and iterating to refine outcomes. Equally critical is the ability to share opinions effectively, aligning stakeholders and building consensus to get the job done. Responsibilities:Key Technical Expertise (Preferred):
- Integrations and Data Streaming: APIs, MuleSoft, Kafka integrations to/from particularly the FAST Policy Admin platform
- Cloud/Virtualization: Azure, Kubernetes
- Salesforce: Knowledge/certification, particularly in Financial Services Cloud
- Technical Contract Reviews: to ensure the appropriate accommodation of disaster recovery, AI, uptime/availability, data, security, and privacy considerations
- Agile Delivery & DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, continuous improvement practices particularly within a SAFe operating model

- College Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems Preferred
- Minimum 15 years’ IT development experience or equivalent Preferred
- Full lifecycle experience as a senior level architect on multiple complex enterprise /strategic solutions Preferred
- Effective verbal and written communications skills and the ability to communicate with business partners and other IT staff
- Problem solving skills sufficient to perform research and recommend a proposed solution to problems
- Able to work on multiple tasks and meet established deadlines
- Able to effectively direct and coordinate the work of other team members on a project without having HR management responsibility for them
- Knowledge of computer programming languages as required for the system
- Established leadership track record of human capital management and succession principles, practices, and procedures
- Demonstrated effective negotiating and influence leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to present and adapt ideas in a business and user friendly language

Pay Transparency Verbiage: Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire.
