Description: This position is for the 2024-2025 school year and serves elementary schools in the North Pole areaThis position does not accept J1 Visa applicantsTeachers new to the district will be required to obtain the Alaska Reads endorsement within two years of hireJob summary: Designs and implements challenging projects and activities that span the curriculum, incorporate multiple subject areas and are tailored to the individual needs of students. Emphasis will be placed on fluent and divergent thinking, evaluative reasoning, communication and high level thinking skills. The Extended Learning Program (ELP) is a pullout enrichment program in elementary school.Retirement: State of Alaska TRS
Bargaining Unit: Fairbanks Education Association (FEA)
Salary: Determined by the FEA Negotiated Agreement
Contract Length: Minimum of 184 daysJob Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position): * Bachelor’s degree

• Must possess or be eligible for a valid

with an endorsement in Elementary Education. * Completion of six (6) credits in gifted and talented education.

• Meet all state and federal requirements in order to be qualified in required content area.
