It’s a role that requires a passion for our mission to make the U.S. economy stronger and the financial system more stable for all.What we do:As a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer, you will provide protection for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, one of twelve Reserve Banks that make up the central bank of the United States. Each day as a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer involves providing 24/7 protection of Bank property, employees, and valuables. You may be stationed in Lower Manhattan or East Rutherford, New Jersey and should live within a commutable distance of both.Our FLETA Accredited (Federal Law Enforcement Training Association) Basic Law Enforcement Course (“the Academy”) consists of an intense, highly regimented, extremely rigorous, seven-week physical and academic training program that includes formal legal and law enforcement classroom training, defensive tactics training, de-escalation training, firearms training, and scenario-based training and testing. Participants must be able to graduate the Academy having met all requirements to become a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer. Upon successful completion of the Academy, all new officers will undergo three weeks of Field Training before being assigned to their permanent day, evening or night tour at either our New York or New Jersey locations.The target start date for New York’s 2025 Academy is February 2025 and it will be primarily held at our lower Manhattan New York location with firearms training at an off-site New Jersey range.Your role as a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer:

Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers operate as a law enforcement officer pursuant to the authority given the Board of Governors by Section 11 (q) of the Federal Reserve Act. Authorized personnel act as law enforcement officers pursuant to regulations of the Board of Governors and approved by the U.S. Attorney General (Uniform Regulations for Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers).If hired, Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officers are subject to monthly random drug screening and medical exams every two years.This position is fully onsite at our Lower Manhattan and East Rutherford, NJ Offices, and does not have remote capabilities.How to apply:Cover letter or Statement of Interest preferred when submitting your resume.Application Deadline: October 7, 2024Salary: $60,000 / yearWe believe in transparency at the NY Fed.
