Apply today to become an integral part of a department that focuses on protecting children within Jefferson County!DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Fiscal Technician, you will be tasked with performing accounting functions for the agency and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and county policies and procedures. You will be responsible for reviewing, posting, and coding all invoices and billing received as well as posting entries to proper ledgers. Maintaining accurate information and record-keeping is vital. Work includes monitoring cost analysis expenditures, budgetary information, and records of services procured through the department. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing quarterly and year-end fiscal reports and verifying the accuracy and completeness of all financial documents for compliance. You will have the opportunity to act as a liaison with the County Auditor and General Auditor to reconcile agency and county records. Attention to detail is essential as you will be maintaining the petty cash fund for the agency as well as preparing monthly reports for the Advisory Committee regarding the agency activities.
