This position will support areas of QA activities. The position based at BPHL-Jacksonville will provide state-wide support in quality assurance. For QA, this position will support the Quality Manager in all aspects of quality. Considerable independent judgment is required to plan and organize the work of this section. Duties are performed under general supervision. The position entails travel in the state of Florida.

  • Work to maintain the Quality Management System for all three laboratories.
  • Answer questions from laboratory staff and outside clients about quality assurance matters such as policy requirements, test requirements, etc.
  • Maintain required tasks as stated by the accrediting agencies.
  • Some travel to the laboratories.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of terminology, principles, and techniques used in analysis, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to learn the required specimen handling & equipment used for specimen collection.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to plan, organize and, coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:Minimum – Some medical laboratory experience, the ability to understand basic QA terms and tasks.Preferred – Degree in a related field.
