This position serves as a data analyst and contract liaison with the agency contract lead for the Market Regulation business units. This position monitors compliance with Title XXXVII, Insurance (Chapters 624-651) and the applicable rules contained in the Florida Administrative Code (FAC).The primary duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.Knowledge of basic computer skills to Include Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.Ability to collect and evaluate data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow, and other relating to the improvement of management practices.Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.Ability to conduct fact-finding research.Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.Ability to work independently.Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.Ability to write and communicate effectively.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.Ability to understand and apply applicable statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.Ability to read and understand contracts.Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple, complex projects.Special Notes:Preference will be given to those applicants with: 1) a Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) certification; and/or 2) knowledge of the state’s competitive bid process.The annual salary for this position is $60,000.00.Employees of the Office of Insurance Regulation are paid on a monthly pay cycle.This is a non-remote position located in Tallahassee, FL.This position requires a security background check, including fingerprints, as a condition of employment.Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process.If you are a retiree of the Florida Retirement System (FRS), please check with the FRS on how your current benefits will be affected if you are re-employed with the State of Florida.
