The position will also serve as support and back-up for the Strategic Performance Efficiency and Accountability Reporting (SPEAR) system.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Specific duties include:

  • Identifying, planning, conducting, and reporting on projects through inspections, evaluations and reviews of department programs and processes;
  • Working collaboratively with other Units in the Accountability Section and other sections in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) to accomplish OIG and department goals and objectives;
  • Working independently to prioritize projects, plan workloads, identify objectives and report progress on assigned projects;
  • Planning, coordinating, and participating in the research, evaluation, development, and implementation of policies, procedures, and SOPs for inspection and evaluation;
  • Providing support for the Strategy Unit as the back-up subject matter expert on the SPEAR system; and
  • Maintaining and creating SPEAR system reports and providing technical support to department members as needed.

  • Progressive ability/skill demonstrating compliance with inspection/evaluation standards;
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities relating to the improvement of management practices;
  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials;
  • Ability to conduct fact finding research; and
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.
