No.’s 40(000030), 40(000607), and 40(000623).The Work You Will Do:This position provides program oversight and technical assistance to local governments, private non-profits, Community Program Managers and department staff for the programs operated in the Bureau of Economic Self-Sufficiency (BESS). The position is responsible for providing contract management for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) which includes processing payments, advances and reports relevant to the programs administered within the BESS.The Difference You Will Make:The LIHEAP, CSBG, WAP, and LIHWAP programs are federally funded programs that helps income-qualified households with a multitude of assistance services ranging from utility bill assistance, self-sufficiency programs, to energy efficient housing repairs. The Bureau of Economic Self-Sufficiency administers four programs and allocates funding directly to a network of community action agencies, non-profit organizations, and local governments which are known as local agency providers, located throughout the state of Florida. FloridaCommerce is a fast-paced work environment in which critical thinking and prioritizing are a must.Your Specific Responsibilities:Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Working with local provider agencies, which include local governments, and non-profit organizations; providing assistance and training for the optimum performance of administrative and other field duties associated with all programs administered through the BESS programs.Conducts on-site and Desk monitoring of assigned subgrantees according to required guidelines and schedule. Prepares written monitoring reports as required. Serves as a secondary GOC II to assist other GOC II’s, when necessary, with duties of the same type as described above.Provides technical assistance to subgrantees for fiscal reviews, program design, administration, reports, reimbursement process and other applicable documents and other program operations.Works with local provider agencies for program compliance utilizing federal guidelines, and state rules and regulations, and program procedures.Reviews and processes reports and other documents, as appropriate to all programs.Responds to inquiries from clients, subgrantees, and others concerning all programs associated with the BESS.Responsible for special projects as assigned. Performing training classes and on-site technical need classes.Assists with the development and/or review of policies and procedures as assigned.Attends workshops, trainings and meetings relevant to programs associated with the BESS.Performs other duties as required.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possess a working knowledge of word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets, (Microsoft Excel) and presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint).
