This postion is URGENT !Seeking Law Firm Billing and Collection Specialist in Pittsburgh, PA.The Law Firm Billing and Collections are responsible for generating, processing, mailing, and filing legal billings. Specialists will also provide general clerical support to others within the Billing Department. The incumbent will have frequent interaction with attorneys and staff and provide support to attorneys and staff with respect to client billing information.In-office Full timeSalary- $60,000.00- $70,000.00Qualifications: (Must Have)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. -MUST HAVE
  • Previous experience in an accounting role within a professional services setting- MUST HAVE
  • Position consists of billing, electronic billing, collections and receivables so accounting, billing, M/S excel experience are the primary requirements.- MUST HAVE

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with a diverse range of contacts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle monthly billing for designated attorneys, making necessary modifications as needed.
  • Maintain billing addresses, UDF fields, client/matter rates and cost exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate billing information, including addresses, rates, and exceptions.
  • Review and adjust Proformas in accordance with billing department guidelines.
  • Conduct account research and analysis.
  • Generate unbilled time reports for designated attorneys as required.
  • Address billing inquiries from attorneys.
  • Set up electronic billing and communicate with designated attorneys throughout each billing cycle.
  • Prepare, proofread, and update invoices as per attorney’s instructions before sending them to clients.
  • Investigate and document relevant client expenses to support billing items.
  • Manage collections for past due accounts, regularly meeting with billing attorneys to discuss and resolve any issues.
  • Under the supervision of a billing attorney, may directly contact clients to collect payments for delinquent bills.
  • Collaborate with all billing attorneys to ensure they are informed of any potential collection concerns.
