The Public Access Services Office is a leader in innovative best practices to provide safe, sustainable, quality wildlife experiences and conservation opportunities to the public. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Planning & Design team!The Resiliency Coordinator assists the division and agency in responding to disasters with a primary focus on FWC’s wildlife management area system. This dynamic role will help the agency to recover from and protect against damages and mitigate for hazards. This is a full-time OPS position with a pay range of $25-$40 per hour depending on experience, with health benefits. It is located in Tallahassee, FL at the Russell Park Office Building.Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

The successful applicant will demonstrate self-direction and self-motivation, sound decision making, and the ability to create and maintain positive and respectful working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and partners.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Position Requirements:Minimum of a bachelor’s degree preferred with a major in one of the physical or natural sciences or engineering and five years of professional experience in environmental protection, regulation or health, one of the physical or natural sciences, or engineering. Engineering is preferred. Experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.This position is expected to work independently with limited supervision. A Monday through Friday, 8-hour daily work schedule during typical business hours is required, with a total of 1,920 hours worked per fiscal year. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License and have the ability to travel an average of 25% and up to 50% seasonally.Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWC’s invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.How To Apply:Application packets must be submitted through the State of Florida’s official employment site ( ) and must include a cover letter and resume in addition to the state application.
