We provide compassionate guidance with transparency and patience to help our clients protect their rights.Make a difference as a ParalegalAs a Full-Time Paralegal in Family Law at Seabrook Law Offices, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic and supportive environment. On a day-to-day basis, expect to assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents such as petitions, motions, and discovery requests. You will conduct legal research, organize case files, and maintain communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism.Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured yet flexible work routine. You will also participate in client meetings, which may involve gathering pertinent information and discussing case developments. As you settle into your role, your expertise in problem-solving and customer-centricity will be instrumental in enhancing our team’s efficiency and delivering outstanding service to our clients.Would you be a great FAMILY LAW Paralegal?To thrive as a Full-Time Paralegal in Family Law at Seabrook Law Offices, candidates must possess a combination of education and practical experience. A certificate from an American Bar Association-approved paralegal program, or a degree with at least 24 units in law-related courses, is required. Alternatively, a high school diploma combined with three years of law-related experience under a qualified attorney can fulfill eligibility criteria. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent legal drafting and research skills, along with strong legal written and oral communication abilities.The ability to work well under pressure and manage stressful situations is vital, as is strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving proficiency to meet tight deadlines. Collaborative teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential for effective client interactions. High proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, is necessary, while familiarity with case management software like CLIO is preferred.Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • A certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association OR
  • A degree from a postsecondary institution that requires the successful completion of a minimum of 24 semester or equivalent units in law-related courses and that has been accredited by a national or regional accrediting organization or approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education OR
  • A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma, a minimum of three years of law-related experience under the supervision of an attorney who has been an active member of the State Bar of California for at least the preceding three years for at least three years prior to 2003
  • Excellent legal drafting and research skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint;
  • Working knowledge of case management software (i.e. CLIO) preferred
