The PHP Platform Architect will be the lead role for this team that will work with new product development and solve technical architecture issues across the organization. We love people who bring creativity and ideas to the table!What You Will Be Doing– Engaging with other Architect level team members to tackle transformative work for our SaaS applications on a large scale AWS platform
– Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
– Development / coding / debugging of the multiple application modules as needed
– Responsible for continuing to establish best practices for the Development Team including architectural guidance, coding standards and policies as well as technical training as needed.
– Act as senior mentor for developers and work together with Team Leads to provide this kind of guidance for all the developers.
– Work with internal stakeholders to share information, communicate status and understand client requirements.What You Need for this Position– At least 5 years of Proven software development experience in PHP
– At least 2 years of product architecture experience
– Experience consuming web services, leveraging elastic and dynamic scaling of cloud infrastructure while maintaining high availability and performance in a multi-tenant environment.
– 5+ years of SQL development on MySQL and/or Postgres including schema design, functions, complex queries, and query optimization.
– Strong HTML skills. Must be able to understand the interaction between the DOM, the application UI, and server-side APIs.
– Well-versed in application design patterns, domain driven design, and clean code principles.
– Knowledge of test-driven development, unit test frameworks, distributed source control systems and continuous integration.
