Our deep-rooted commitment to excellence, collaboration, integrity, diversity and inclusion creates exceptional educational opportunities which prepare students for success in a global society.Essential functions (job duties):Wayne State University Law School’s Office of Career Success (“Wayne Law”) is seeking applications from Class of 2024 graduates of an ABA-accredited law school for a one calendar year Post-Graduate Fellowship.The fellowship offers an opportunity for a recent law school graduate to gain experience working with Wayne Law’s Office of Career Success. The fellow’s responsibilities will include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:Employment-Based ResearchStudent & Alumni Advising and EngagementProgram & Event Assistance12twenty Position Research (12twenty is Wayne Law’s Premier Career Platform)Data Entry/ManagementSpecial Events/ProjectsThe fellow will work closely with the Office of Career Success staff and will report directly to the Director of Recruitment and Employer Outreach. The fellow will conduct research and use data driven analytics to recommend and assist with the office’s initiatives. This will include the responsibilities listed above, as well as additional responsibilities as assigned that are viewed to be in line with the position.Qualifications:J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required. Bar passage not required. Priority will be given to Class of 2024 law school graduates who have an interest in higher education. Candidates must be able to exercise independent judgment; responsibly manage multiple projects; communicate effectively orally and in writing; and complete assignments with minimal supervision.Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until January 10, 2025. The candidate will start on or before March 10, 2025; the fellowship will last at least one calendar year from the candidate’s start date. Applicants are asked to submit (1) a letter of interest describing the candidate’s reasons for applying for the fellowship (not to exceed two pages) (2) a resume, (3) a writing sample, (4) a law school transcript, and (5) the names and contact information of three individuals prepared to provide professional references.
