The Goddard School® located in Edina is looking for a motivated, self-starter for a School Support Specialist position at our School. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of a developmentally appropriate learning program for young children. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the ability to motivate and inspire others. They should also be able to work under a flexible schedule if needed to close the school building or open, as needed based on operations. The candidate should have experience with licensing requirements and be familiar with MN rule 3.In The Goddard School®’s unique and flexible learning environment, child development is about more than just reaching milestones.   • Overseeing the operations of the School, specifically focusing on programming needs, relationship building, assisting with faculty training & development, inventory management, and quality assurance requirements
  • Using a growth mindset to train, coach, and develop the School for the future
  • Developing strong relationships with our families
  • Managing a budget
  • Complying with state childcare licensing regulations
  • Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
  • Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education
  • Work closing shift (9am-6pm) and be flexible if needed to open (6:45am-3:45pm)

Qualifications:

  • Associates of Arts or Science Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An inspirational leader and team builder
  • Proactive about building relationships with new families and maintaining high enrollment to make sure the students have access to the best curriculum available
  • Organized and able to multitask, strategically resolves challenges, and has a great attitude
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement

Salary: $19 – 22 per hour
